Valuable lessons

My good intentions to post regurlarly immediately took a blow when I went on a week log business trip. Anyway, just before that trip some email reminded me of some early work by HP on what is these days known as "SOA" and "Web Services". I had to search a bit and then found it: eSpeak. It was a nice attempt at fully distributed services. Luckily one of the people behind it wrote a very nice paper about the lessons learned from the project: "Lessons from E-speak". A really good read if you're at all interested in web services and the like.
